South Western Sydney Institute is the leading provider of vocational education and training in its region. The Institute has built a reputation for industry responsiveness, quality services and accessibility. We are proud of the role we play in building strong communities.
Each year, more than 75,000 students enrol at colleges in South Western Sydney Institute, with approximately 2000 students each semester studying with the Institute in overseas locations. Students chose from more than 650 courses at Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma level. Training is conducted at nine colleges (Bankstown, Campbelltown, Granville, Lidcombe including Chullora campus, Liverpool, Macquarie Fields including MBISC campus, Miller, Padstow and Wetherill Park), in workplaces, community locations and in overseas classrooms. The Institute continues to improve links with universities and schools to enhance pathways and provide maximum recognition of students' knowledge and skills.
At South Western Sydney Institute, students have access to a range of flexible learning options. Increasingly available are online units and modules that use web-based materials to support and complement student learning.
The Institute gives a high priority to meeting the needs of students in its diverse community. Specialist staff support students with disabilities, students from non-English speaking backgrounds, Aboriginal students and women accessing training.
