Work Health & Safety
As a staff member, you have a responsibility to contribute to and maintain a safe working environment. Your line manager will always provide you with help in doing this.
The Institute also has an Work Health and Safety Unit, which supports the provision of an effective health and safety management system to ensure the Institute meets its corporate and legislative responsibilties. This Unit has a SharePoint site, which contains a number of useful resources.
As a staff member, you must report all Work Health and Safety incidents and injuries which you are involved in to the Incident Hotline on 1800 811 523. This is a free call. The Hotline is staffed from 7:00am to 7:00pm, Monday to Friday. Your line manager will then investigate and report on the factors leading to this incident, and make recommendations on any improvements that can be made.
