Background
The Sydney Institute Leadership Development Model incorporates Mentoring as an approach to support staff in developing their leadership and professional capabilities.
The Sydney Institute Executive, Leadership Reference Group and Head Teacher Leadership group have all endorsed the development of a Sydney Institute mentoring program. This program has now been extended to all Staff.
Purpose
- To further develop leadership and related professional capabilities for Managers/supervisors across Sydney Institute
- To support knowledge transition and sustain our business now and into the future
- To support talent management and pathways for career progression
2012 Timeframe
1. The Mentoring Program will be launched at the first Head Teachers Forum on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
2. Expressions of Interest from staff must be received by March 23, 2012.
3. A list of Mentors and Mentees and areas of expertise will be established by March 30, 2012
4. Mentor and Mentee working relationships will be set up and conducted starting from April 23, 2012 and conclude August 31, 2012.
5. Mentors and Mentees will be invited to a function to celebrate and share their experiences in the mentoring program.
