Welcome to the Leadership and Management Self-Assessment Tool for TAFE NSW Sydney Institute. This self-assessment tool is intended to help you determine what attributes you need to improve to achieve in your current role. The instrument will also prove helpful to gauge what skills and capabilities are needed to improve or develop a successful career pathway.

The Tool is intended to be a guide to your leadership capabilities and may be useful to you in Performance Management and Development processes. You may also find this assessment a useful tool when preparing your ILDP.

It is perfectly acceptable to move both backwards and forwards through the levels over time. A complete capability assessment can take up to 30 minutes.

Instructions for saving and reusing your results

Save a copy of your completed self assessment so you can reflect on your answers. To return to this report you should save the file as a PDF with your name and date. You will then be able to return to the file at a later date and revisit what you have previously entered and/or move to the next level.
