Project Focus
The aim of the project was to successfully develop a tutorial support system that could be embedded into the delivery of the MYOB course that would provide ABE staff with greater assistance for NESB students studying MYOB as part of the Business Studies Course.
The model that was used was the Mentoring Program offered by 'Learning & Innovation' which enabled one of the MYOB teaching staff at Petersham to effectively mentor ABE staff about MYOB to enhance their NESB student support role.

Impact of the Project
The success of the Mentoring Model has now become embedded as part of the delivery of the MYOB course in partnership with ABE. This process now benefits both students and teachers across Petersham College.
This innovative approach has been described by Susan Mehri A/ADEP Petersham (Crystal St.) as a signifiicant 'first' where now teachers expect tutorial support through the mentoring process. The mentoring model has been clearly recognised as a very effective tool that has not only forged a great partnership between Business Studies and ABE but improved systems for greater uptake across the Institute.
