ContourHD / ContourHD 1080P- Point of View Cameras
Overview
The ContourHD comprises an all in one unit which records in High Definition HD or standard definition SD formats. The ContourPOV produces the best quality video footage of all the POV cameras and is available in 2 models one which records to Full 1080p (1920 1080 ) HD and one to standard HD (1280x720). Both models can also be set to record SD. There is a wide array of mounting accessory's available including, hard hats, bicycle helmets, goggles, tripods and handle bars. Often used in extreme sports such parachuting, snow boarding and mountain biking the units are robust and very easy to operate.
Videos are recorded in .mov (native format – H264 ) onto Micro SD cards (2GB card included) with the maximum size 16GB card holding a massive 8 hours of HD video (or 16 hours of standard definition). The camera kit includes a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery which will run for approximately 90 minutes in HD mode (2 hours in standard definition mode).
The ContourHD has a large sliding switch on the top which is easy to use even when you have gloves on. The unit gives off a loud beep at the start and end of recording to confirm that is has started/stopped. On the back of the camera there is a single button to power on/off and two indicator lights which glow different colours to let you know how much memory space and battery life you have left.
The camera slides has a back revealed port array of card slot, rechargeable battery and USB port. The battery is charged via the USB port ( 3 hours to full charge ). The cover is water resistant, not waterproof, however there is a waterproof housing available as an accessory.
