  2. Why the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) and training packages are used within Sydney Institute.
  3. The role of recognition and gap training
  4. Flexible workplace delivery and evidence based assessment
  5. Assessment Validation

Learning Outcomes

  1. Have an understanding of the Institute 2007 IRSP 3.4 priorities in terms of the implementation of training packages
  2. Understand the AQF, units of competence and accredited modules and the training packaging rules to meet client’s needs.
  3. Understanding Sydney Institute processes and procedures relating to the range of products and services (e.g. auspicing, recognition and gap training, training needs analysis, partnership agreements).
  4. Understanding the shift from classroom campus based training to flexible work based delivery and assessment
  5. Understanding a range of validation processes to ensure fair, valid, consistent and reliable assessment of student outcomes
