- Why the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) and training packages are used within Sydney Institute.
- The role of recognition and gap training
- Flexible workplace delivery and evidence based assessment
- Assessment Validation
Learning Outcomes
- Have an understanding of the Institute 2007 IRSP 3.4 priorities in terms of the implementation of training packages
- Understand the AQF, units of competence and accredited modules and the training packaging rules to meet client’s needs.
- Understanding Sydney Institute processes and procedures relating to the range of products and services (e.g. auspicing, recognition and gap training, training needs analysis, partnership agreements).
- Understanding the shift from classroom campus based training to flexible work based delivery and assessment
- Understanding a range of validation processes to ensure fair, valid, consistent and reliable assessment of student outcomes
