Mentoring the Mentors

The role of Learning and Innovation in supporting the Learning Technology Mentors (LTMs) will be by 'mentoring the mentor'. Four members from the Learning & Innovation team have been designated 3 mentees each from the 12 mentoring participants in the project.

The role of Learning and Innovation for mentoring the mentor will include :

  • Contacting our designated (3) mentees to clarify their mentoring roles in line with the project's focus for embedding new technologies
  • Directing the mentee where to find resources on 'How to' use technology for re-enforcement of skilling and step by step methodology
  • Identifying any skill gaps requiring potentially  just-in-time training session by Learning and Innovation
  • Training the Mentee to 'Walk the Talk' on Resource Development Kits, technology tips and usage for embedding eLearning
  • Recording contacts with teachers in Zoho Creator by logon Username: simentor Password: mentor. Click here for Demonstration
  • Recording posts on the LTM Blog on the mentees' journey during the project. This will be used as part of the quantitative evaluation of the project.
  • second weekly Adobe Connect Sessions with the LTMs. Tuesday 3.30-4.30pm and a repeat on Thursdays 8.45-9.45am
