Purpose
The purpose of this session is to introduce participants to the Pilot communication and pronunciation modification course for overseas-trained doctors:
- Stakeholders, aims and objectives and the role of the moodle in this context
- Integrating communication skills with a specific professional context; issues and solutions
- Use of .mp3 recorder; playback and .mp3 voice files for developing both fluency and accuracy in oral communication

Learning outcomes
At the end of this session participants will:
- be aware of the potential of a moodle or similar platform in enhancing learning for any specific group
- be aware of the challenges and benefits of integrating language development into specific professional contexts
- recognise the benefits of using .mp3 voice files in improving overseas-trained professionals’ confidence and skills in oral communication
