TONY PALAMARA - BIO
I am a teacher of Management Studies at Petersham TAFE. I teach Marketing, Training and Assessment and Human Resource Management. Here is a recent photo of me taken early in the morning (when I am not at my best).
My particular interest at the moment is Elearning. I teach a combination of face to face, blended and on-line units. I currently use a combination of Janison, Moodle and Wikis. Over the past 3 years have been experimenting with using mp3 and video files in my teaching. The feedback from students has been very positive, especially using mp3. Predictably, students who have diffciulty attending the college have been most willing to embrace the technology.
Whilst still interested in the technology side of things, my stong interest at present is on Elearing facilitation. The pedagogy is crucial to Elearning as motivating students on-line is a very difficult task in some subject areas.
On the personal front, I play guitar in a band called the Last Chance Blues band. We play blues, rock, jazz and everything (including a heavy metal version of Pearly Shells).
