Basic Help for Users Who Are New to MediaWiki Editing!
Welcome to the TAFE Online 2 Access to New Technologies Knowledge Pack site. This section will assist you in understanding the basic uses of wiki's and how to add your knowledge pack content to the collection.
What is a Wiki?
A wiki is a collaborative website which can be directly edited by anyone with access to it. Many organisations are using wiki software to support all sorts of collaborative spaces online. For example - Wikipedia is one of the best-known wikis. For more information visit the Wikipedia's own page on Wikis.
The ANT Knowledge Pack Site is supported by MediaWiki software, which is an open source tool made available under the GNU Free Documentation License.
Creating Your Account
While you can edit and create pages on this wiki without creating yourself an account we encourage you to do so we know who has edited what and when. It will help build the online community around the leadership program and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Editing Your Own Page
Once you create an account your user name will appear at the top of the Personal tools section.
This links to your own personal page on the wiki. This is a good place to begin learning how to edit pages.
Use this page to create a personal profile, add a picture and some info about yourself.
NOTE: When you click on the page for the first time it will open a Link to a new page ready for input, once you have entered some info and saved the page it will be created.
You will see the following text “There is currently no text in this page, you can search for this page title in other pages or edit this page”
Click the “edit this page” hyperlink
Finding Other Member's Pages
You can find other Show Me! Member's pages by clicking on the View Users button in the Site Tools section. Simply click on their user names to view their pages.
